Port-Log on the BBC!

We were delighted to see our data management platform, Port-Log, featuring so prominently on the BBC programme: ‘What Britain Buys and Sells in a Day'. During a discussion with the presenter, Ed Balls, ABP Southampton's Harbour Master, Phil Buckley, explained why having access to real-time environmental conditions is so important to the port. Air Quality is an increasingly important environmental concern and gathering and submitting evidence based on emission data is now a legal requirement for many ports. Alongside climate change, for UK ports, Air Quality is a high priority following the introduction of the UK Government’s Clean Air Strategy in 2019. Amy is supporting both the Technical team and the Operations team and is already adding huge value in and out of the office. With her passion for the outdoors, can-do attitude and a Masters in Oceanography she is the perfect addition to our growing team. Welcome Amy!
